2010/04/16
Részletes program:
The foreseeable reforms of Regulation 1/2003 regarding the European Competition Network and the cooperation with national jurisdictions
Competition policy conference
16 April 2010
Szeged, Hungary
The conference is organised by the European Studies Centre and the Europe Direct Szeged office of the University of Szeged Faculty of Law in partnership with the Hungarian Competition Authority and the Competition Law Research Centre (University Péter Pázmány, Budapest).
The objective of the event is to compare the diverse experiences of the involved National Competition Authorities, in order to draw conclusions in the general frame of the foreseeable reform Regulation 1/2003. This theme has been a matter of importance for the last several months (Communication of the European Commission to the European Parliament, 29 April 2009) and many institutions are involved in the reflection launched by the European Commission.
The language of the conference is English (without interpretation).
The conference will last one day. The day will be divided in varying topics, covering different aspects of the global issue. Each lecture will be dealt with under the supervision of a chair. Each lecture will be followed by a panel discussion. The chair will be the "leader" of the discussions and will also be responsible for the preparatory organisation for the panel. So the chair will ask the speakers about their presentations, and prepare questions for the speakers and interveners. The chair will start the discussion by introducing the topic and then every speaker will give a short presentation. After this, the panel can discuss different issues.
We also require from the lecturer to provide us with a written copy of their intervention as a publication is envisaged. In any case the entire conference will be recorded.
